Veldris
Company · veldi + rísa

Sovereign power, rising.

Veldris, from Old Norse veldi, dominion, sovereign power, and rísa, to rise. The name states the thesis: sovereignty is not granted by a vendor. It is held, your data, your models, your keys, on your hardware.

§ 1 · Lineage

Where this comes from

Veldris was founded by JB Benjamin, previously founder of Kryotech and Djinn Technologies, and is built in the Midlands, UK.

The post-quantum sealing lineage comes from Kryotech's Vox Messenger, protecting 400,000+ users worldwide; it survives inside Midgard as the Seal action. The computer-vision lineage comes from Djinn's SpatialScan3D, end-to-end volumetric 3D video production.

Neither system was a demo. Both shipped, and both taught the same lesson: the only guarantees that hold are the ones built into the architecture.

§ 2 · Beliefs

Personal before institutional

Sovereignty is personal

Data sovereignty belongs to people before it belongs to institutions. Everything Veldris builds is natively post-quantum encrypted, open source, and local-inference only, because you should not have to be a government to own your data.

Power should be legible

Palantir named itself after a seeing-stone that deceives whoever looks into it. We think infrastructure this consequential should be the opposite: readable, to the last line.

Permanence is earned

Veldris is a forever company: infrastructure meant to outlive its founders. Open source, reproducible builds, documented governance, built to be inspected, forked, and continued by others.

§ 3 · The horizon

Centuries, not quarters

Planning for forever changes engineering decisions today. It is why the cryptography assumes the computers of the 2040s. It is why every release is reproducible from source with a signed SBOM. It is why the exit, forking the whole platform, is documented rather than obstructed. A forever company doesn't ask for trust; it makes itself replaceable, and earns permanence by being worth keeping.
