JB founded Veldris, together with James Bowater, on a single conviction: sovereignty is not something a vendor grants you, it is something you hold. As chief executive, JB sets the company's direction and owns its promise, everything open, everything post-quantum, everything on your hardware.

Previously JB founded Kryotech, the encrypted-application studio behind Vox Messenger, the first post-quantum encrypted messenger, protecting 400,000+ users worldwide, and Djinn Technologies, creator of SpatialScan3D, an end-to-end volumetric 3D video production system. Kryotech's sealing work survives inside Midgard as the Seal action.

A former senior lecturer in computer science at Ravensbourne and a member of the British Computer Society, JB builds in the Midlands and argues for the right to privacy anywhere that will listen.

James founded Veldris together with JB and leads strategy: positioning, partnerships and the path to the institutions that need sovereign infrastructure most. Where the platform is built to be read, James makes sure the right people read it.

James founded Crypto AM in partnership with City A.M., which in 2018 became the first mainstream publisher with a regular focus on AI, blockchain, digital assets and Web3, and was named Blockchain Advisor of the Year at the 2022 AIBC Awards. In 2024 he launched The Digital Commonwealth, a news, education, events and venture platform whose Mansion House Series and awards have hosted 368 speakers, 1,696 delegates and 786 companies, with the flagship CONV3RGENCE London returning in 2027.

He is also co-founder and chairman of Kithe Technologies, strategic advisor for international expansion at Datavault AI, and a global ambassador for World Mobile and CUDOS.

Alan has been shipping software at civilisational scale for over four decades. As chief technology officer, he holds Veldris to the standard he helped invent: products built to dominate their category and still be running forty years later.

In 1980 he became Microsoft's first Product Development Manager, reporting directly to Bill Gates: he contributed to Word and Excel, designed Microsoft Project, wrote the initial specification for Windows, introduced Flight Simulator, and in 1982 opened Microsoft's first overseas subsidiaries in the UK, France and Germany.

Since then he has been CTO of CyberLife, the Cambridge artificial-life pioneer; a director of Bay Microsystems China, whose InfiniBand networking carries data for some of the world's most secure networks; founder of Rich8 Group; an advisor to Chinese ministries on national smart-city programmes; and a non-executive director across four decades of listings on the LSE, NASDAQ, NYSE and ASX.

Luke brings 15 years' experience growing and scaling businesses in Web3 and emerging technologies. He started at Fitch Ratings before joining Rangewell, the commercial-finance big-data platform, where he positioned the service across the private and public sectors.

Drawn to the principles of sovereignty and autonomy presented by Bitcoin, Luke moved to Applied Blockchain, leading sales across the enterprise and start-up community, a front-office technologist with deep commercial experience. The thesis he sold there is the one Veldris builds on: your keys, your infrastructure.

Luke is committed to training and education: his portfolio spans The Investment Association, Aviva, BMS Group and Everest Underwriters, alongside AI-optimisation work with Lloyds Underwriters and a collaborative podcast series with Hogan Lovells bringing digital assets to a younger audience.

Filip is the founder and CEO of Quantum Fort AG and an experienced cybersecurity leader specialising in risk management, operational resilience and strategic growth across the technology and financial-services sectors. He leads teams advising enterprises, insurers and underwriters on cyber risk, helping them use intelligence to strengthen infrastructure, shape strategy and make informed decisions.

His work connects cybersecurity with governance and executive decision-making: translating technical exposure into clear business priorities, and building security programmes that hold up to organisational objectives, regulatory expectations and long-term resilience. As chief information security officer he owns that discipline inside Veldris, where the security page's claims are his to keep true.

Across his career Filip has led initiatives spanning cybersecurity, investment consulting, healthcare operations and M&A, including proprietary tools and systems that let organisations navigate complex, high-consequence environments and turn technical insight into measurable outcomes.

Jonathan Berry, 5th Viscount Camrose, has been a member of the House of Lords since 2022 and was appointed the UK's first Minister for Artificial Intelligence, a post he held until July 2024; he now serves as Shadow Minister for Science, Innovation and Technology. As minister he was a leader on the global AI Safety Summit at Bletchley Park, took the data privacy and digital markets bills through Parliament, developed the UK's AI policy and held national responsibility for cybersecurity.

He develops and advises UK technology ventures: board member at Vortexia, director of Lumi Network, chairman of Aquapulse, and advisor to Conquer AI and Veles Consulting; he is establishing the UK Hiring Taskforce on the use of AI in recruitment. Before politics he built clinical-trial automation for Pfizer, led change management for the digital transformations of BP and Shell, and ran the European arm of Expressworks. A Durham University graduate, he holds an MBA from Carnegie Mellon.

Janet works at the frontier of AI and on the regulation that governs it. She has led technology and risk programmes at global banks across multiple jurisdictions and supervisory regimes, and now builds AI systems for governance, explainability and sovereign deployment across the UK, the EU and the Gulf.

Janet is co-founder and co-CEO of Zarqa, the deep-technology company headquartered in the Abu Dhabi Global Market building neural-symbolic multi-agentic architectures, swarms of AI agents whose behaviour is explainable, bounded and governable at runtime, coordinated by its Agentic Hive orchestration layer. She is also Chair of Liberi Opportunities, the UK company working with governments and regulated enterprises on sovereign AI and confidential-computing infrastructure.

Before AI, Janet held global leadership roles in banking risk, regulation and technology at RBS, HSBC and TSB, authored the financial industry's first Conduct Framework for AI, and served as Chief Operating Officer of SingularityNET, the decentralised AI platform.

António is an INSEAD MBA and investment executive with more than 25 years across family offices, corporate and investment banking, and venture capital. He served as executive board member of an international single-family office, building its governance, legal and tax architecture across jurisdictions and managing a multi-sector direct investment portfolio that delivered strong returns through a sovereign crisis. He is Partner and CIO at Consensus Capital, a multi-family office focused on AI, blockchain and digital assets, and General Partner at Inspiration VC, an early-stage applied-AI fund.

His work sits at the intersection of emerging technology, capital allocation and institutional governance: investments and board-level oversight in AI and digital infrastructure, advisory work with technology companies, and international speaking on how family offices and institutions should treat data, models and cryptographic control. Earlier roles at McKinsey, Natixis and Banif give him operating experience in complex financing, M&A and cross-border structures.

As non-executive director he brings that combination of investment discipline, technology fluency and governance practice to the board, aligned with the thesis this company is built on: keys, models and inference stay on the owner's hardware, inspectable and under the owner's control.

Barry is a technology executive, inventor and expert in computing and encryption, with particular depth in quantum-safe cybersecurity and distributed systems. His 47 years in technology began with an IBM Prize at age thirteen; his work since has centred on authentication technologies that protect organisations, assets and data from cyber attack. He is the founder of BC Networking and joins the Veldris board as a non-executive director.

Barry co-founded Arqit Quantum Inc. (Nasdaq: ARQQ), serving as its CISO from 2018 to 2025 and leading the development of quantum-safe encryption and secure key distribution. Before that he was Head of Applied Innovation and Strategic Investments at HSBC, ran high-performance computing at Barclays Capital and the Royal Bank of Scotland, served as CTO at VMware, and led IT at Westpac, TD Securities and Nordea. His product record includes R3 Corda, Arqit Quantum Cloud and Trade Secure, We.Trade and FXCalc, and he is named on six granted US patents in quantum key distribution, secure networking and cryptographic systems.

He holds a PhD in computer science. For a company whose cryptography assumes the computers of the 2040s, Barry is the director who has already spent a career shipping that assumption at bank scale.
